AHHA represents the needs of the houseless by providing information, education, advocacy, direct service, and policy development. Their ultimate goal is to build lasting affordable housing alternatives.

Black Humboldt

Black Humboldt is interested in networking, building relationships and community with the Black & Brown population residing and visiting California’s Rural North communities. Offering programming, community gatherings, monetary opportunities and culturally significant events, Black Humboldt works to decrease the vulnerability and increase the general well being of the communities we serve.

Centro Del Pueblo

United for the empowerment of Indigenous Migrant and Latinx Communities. They create a space for the Indigenous Peoples of the South, Immigrants and Latin community in to promote awareness of our rights and the cultural and artistic revitalization of our ancestral roots.

English Express

Their mission is to support personal and social change for our English language learner community. They offer free classes to learn English, and to prepare for citizenship.

Humboldt Area Center for Harm Reduction

The Humboldt Area Center for Harm Reduction (HACHR) is committed to building stronger, healthier communities by co-creating spaces that foster dignity, equity, and choice. Founded in 2014, by Brandie Wilson, HACHR has spent nearly a decade improving the health and wellness of people who use drugs (PWUD), are experiencing homelessness, or are engaged in sex work in Northern California’s Humboldt County, through advocacy, overdose prevention education, and harm reduction services.

North Coast Progressive Alliance

The North Coast Progressive Alliance empowers ordinary people to become more engaged in political processes, and to make our representatives – from local school boards on up to federal representatives – truly accountable to the residents they serve, and committed to our best interests. They are a grassroots movement, born out of local activism in 2016, that presents educational seminars, encourages voter turnout, and organizes for economic, social and environmental justice.

Queer Humboldt

Queer Humboldt is an anti-racist, anti-settler-colonialist resource center, serving 2S/LGBTQIA+ individuals and groups in Humboldt County and local Indigenous Lands through community education, mental health services, micro- grants/mutual aid, the North Coast Two-Spirit Project, networking and resource sharing.

Redwood Peace & Justice

The Redwood Peace and Justice Coalition is seeking to create an Arcata-Gaza sister city in Palestine to promote cultural exchange, medical and humanitarian aid, education and professional opportunities, as well as exchange of art, information, and trade.

Transparent Humboldt Coalition

The Coalition was formed in response to revelations about County finances and practices during the race for Auditor-Controller in 2022. Since then, they’ve been developing apparatus to monitor the County’s policies for transparency, integrity, and accountability.
